Conclude whatever you wish. I merely report what surviving contemporary evidence says & have addressed the original question from Hans.

As the local wartime grave reports of Texel also mention 2nd November I'm as good as convinced that this date is indeed the correct one.

Dear All,
If this aircraft is that which bombed RAF Wattisham, as RAF Wattisham museum believes, then the date is without doubt 1st November 1940. I had an eye witness account and the grave at Hitcham has it carved in stone. However, it raises the question of whether this aircraft has been identified correctly by the museum.
