1./123 and 3./123 were still using Bf 109 Fs/E-7s and the first Fw 190 A-3 was lost by 5./123 on 19 Dec 42

Re: Mystery 190

Would tend to agree with kaki the I/JG26 190 looks like a strong candidate . Robson flying as Blue3 dived to attack two Fw190's, he engaged one which turned inland he used all his ammo and last saw the E/A flying with the starboard wing down at about 2000'. GQM dated 8-5-42 has for the 4th Fw 190 A-2 2061 damaged 25% in a crash landing at Fl.Pl Arques following combat. With Arques being a short flight from the combat area and Robson's last sighting of the E/A it could be the one in the combat film.

Brian: This is the only possibility I would agree-he must have got the other leg down or landed as is

Chris, one thing is certain it is not is Willi Weilmann baling out ,nearly a year before he joined the Luftwaffe, as captioned in his book 'Alert in the West' . I guess this only became a possible crash landing because Robson was out of ammo .
