Many thanks for this very interesting information.

Checked the orb of 218 Squadron again (AIR 27/1349) :

Form 540 page 3 for July 1941 mentions for 5th July : Training – two sorties of 1 hr.40 mins.took off today. There were fighters in co-operation with station defence.

The Form 541 - page 149 of the ORB - is for the attack during the night 4/5 July 1941 on Brest. The next page of the same orb – page 150 – is for the attack during the night 6/7 July 1941 on Munster. On page 151 (also for the mission to Munster on 6/7 July 1941) the claim of Flying Officer Ralph and Sergeant Banks are mentioned.

Are the dates in the ORB not correct ? Are pages missing ?
