Hi Guys

I am going to show you a batch of parts I would like to identify with your help.
This He177 belonged to Wekusta 2 and crashed at take off on 22 July 1944 at Mont de Marsan in the South West of France;

This search was made with the approval of the French archeology directorate an will be afterwards the subject of an exhibition in Aerocopia museum in Toulouse;

Here is the first part: what could be this instrument ?

A part number appears FL32511-1

GC

I think it are these

Re: HE177 PARTS TO IDENTIFY

It is not a pulley for sure.
Connection from ETC to electric fuze for the bomb.

Re: HE177 PARTS TO IDENTIFY

Thanks Snautzer, appreciated.

Clin/ Nicolas : you say "connection from ETC to electric fuze for the bomb"

1) what is ETC ?
2) this He177 was a weather reco aircraft, so it carried no bomb...

Re: HE177 PARTS TO IDENTIFY

1°) the jettison weapon rack (pylone)
2°) ETC 500/501 is also (commonly) used for drop tanks (e.a. 300l).

I miss the pic at the moment, which is useful.

Again, I have no room to post the picture, but in Udvar-Hazy we have an He177 A-5 bombadier/flight engineers panel in a display case.

Re: HE177 PARTS TO IDENTIFY

Indeed, I would be very interested to see a picture of this panel, Tony. Thanks in advance if you can send it.

(or would some nice guy in Virginia reading these lines, be kind enough to walk in Udvar Hazy museum and take a picture for us ??)

Best
