Re: German Intruders over UK 10th February 1941
Hi all,
I do hope you'll be able to find more on the Fernnachtjagd Carsten! This is what I've written in the NCA series on the sources that I've used in creating an analysis of the Fernnachtjagd effort in the NCA series: In early 2018, a series of daily Lageberichte (Situation Reports) of the Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe Führungsstab Ic (Supreme Commander of the Luftwaffe, Air Staff Intelligence Officer) for 1939-1941 kept in the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (TsAMO) have been digitised. These, in combination with a series of Luftflotte 3 daily reports (BArch-MA file RL 7/99-104), which include detailed reports on the Fernnachtjagd effort for most of the nights in the period of late May to mid-October 1941, and with a detailed British analysis of the German intruder effort for the period of July-October 1941 (preserved in AIR 14/1897), enabled the author to make an almost complete reconstruction of the most successful period of the German intruder operations over Britain, April to October 1941. Cheers, Theo |
