Hello Leendert
I have no info about the belgian Moth, but it seems very surprising that he was captured in Montpellier.
Montpellier was in "free zone" under french control. German arrives there only in 1942.
Anyway i can be wrong. May be belgian planes in free zone were given to germans ?
I have no trace of them in french papers in july 40 when all plane of the free zone were checked.

Hello @Snautzer
Dragon Rapide must be an english one. They left some of them in north of France, some in good state (pictures show that) in Orleans for example.

Interesting to see that the British CAA either has not bothered to scan the first registration card of the aircraft or perhaps does not have it any more.

The combined details on aviation safety net are mostly from Malcolm Fillmore and John Hamlin's research.

Perhaps most striking are the seller's wild claims with regard to the photo he is selling. No surprise I guess....

The GM+OS was a ex. Norwegian Army Air Force DH 82A Tiger Moth built on licence by the Army Aircraft Factory at Kjeller north of Oslo. Its Army Air Force serial number was 185.
Several ex. Norwegian military aircraft taken over by the Luftwaffe were assigned with Stammkennzeichen in the GM+O- series.
