I agree with Bertrand C.(VII?)2 plus 3 and/or 8s

Seller says both photos taken at Flensburg, and the text on the flipside at least support 'burg'.... :)

No I have not checked Herris. Thought Clint might need some exercise this morning....:D

Thank you both for the replies. I'm never really comfortable trusting my own eyes when a photo is unclear. Happily, I was able to avoid any unnecessary exercise as I saw the same numbers as yourselves. I think that the aircraft may be C.2218/16. Alas even knowing that the airfield is Flensburg-Schäferhaus hasn't so far allowed identification of the unit. However, Bertrand knowing your interest in airfields, if you enter that in ebay.de you will get a number of aerial shots.
