Eduard, we are all glad to help.

In reading over McDowell's account I very much doubt he saw General John "Shan" Hackett. He may have seen/met General James Gavin at the 82nd division CP.

Yes, i believe that that is more likely.
I wonder or there are pictures of the area after Market Garden, Aerial pictures....
I m trying to find that out.
