The C9706 crash is interesting. I have no unit allocation for it at all, only that it abandoned a flight due to engine trouble 1.9.1918 Cheers Stig |
Re: Photo Handley Page
Hello Stig,
Did I misread. I thought Ray Sturtivant had both machines with 215 Squadron. Hence my attribution. Admittedly, if this is not the case then the attribution is questionable. Regards, Clint |
Re: Photo Handley Page
Well Clint
I presume you are talking about the Air Britain book RN serials and Units 1911-1919? If you look again. C9706 is not listed at all. C9649 was indeed with 215 Sq but only for a very short time. It also belonged to many more units, and I cannot ID any place where the photo was taken and since no date is quoted, no idea which unit it belonged to when the photo was taken. With regard to C9706 I have some other data from Air Britain's Archive which has basically only the info I listed. Cheers Stig |

Hello,
Currently on ebay is a photo of a Hanfley Page O/400 https://www.ebay.it/itm/156028812913...oAAOSwI5ZltBz5 The serial is not either of the options proposed by the seller. Can anyone read the serial in order to identify the machine? Regards, Clint |
