Is it known how these five aircraft were received by the Croats?
Reason I ask is I have two books (one bi-lingual and one in French) that I cannot see mention this at all.
Were they hand outs by the Germans or captured elsewhere? I really can't see the RSI handing out any aircraft at that time, hardpressed as they were.

Stig, all five aircraft came from German stocks, SM.79s from Protectorate and SM.82s from Italy. As for the Croat AF, many things about its history haven't been said yet. But bit by bit it is changing. And bit of it will be revealed in the book for which newcommer provided a link :)
