You will never know-I believe that all of these can be matched to specific RAF claims which amount to twice the numbers lost not including the damaged. If his damaged had been finished off by another pilot his claim would have been made up to a half destroyed shared with the other pilot. Another dead end for you I am afraid especially as I can see no sign of a combat report to verify any of this

If the other pilot (who finished the damaged Bf 110) didn’t know it – noticed, the claim would not have been made up to a half kill. Like Ray Holmes Dornier (15 September 1940) that flew empty until he rammed it.
