Hi Michele
Just what is you are after? I may be able to help. Cheers Brian |
Re: Royal Navy Fighter Squadron in North Africa.
Hello Brian!
I'm glad to hear from you! I was trying to figure out some operations of Italian units in North Africa during "Crusader" and following period. From the Archives I received quite a lot of material related to Commonwealth units, but something is not available or I didn't find. For example RNFS or 4SAAF or 73 Sq. battle flight, for the period between December 1941 and February 1942. I received some ORBs related to Fighters Wings, to fill the gaps, but informations were very poor. I also asked for help (you can see it in the book section) about details on operations of JG 27, but it seems to be a hard task. I know that a lot of "War Diaries" are gone lost, like the ones in Malta, as you told me some time ago, but .....never give up.... So I would be happy if you can give me some suggestion. Anyway thanks for your kind attention. Cheers Michele |
Re: Royal Navy Fighter Squadron in North Africa.
Hi Michele
I have a fair amount of information on the units you mention for the period November 1941-February 1942 - what are you after? Combat claims and losses or a more in-depth account of operations? My e-mail address is briancullauthor@fsmail.net Cheers Brian |
Re: Royal Navy Fighter Squadron in North Africa.
Dear Jerome,
I've received the ORBs I was looking for, thanks again. Michele |
Re: Royal Navy Fighter Squadron in North Africa.
Michele, does the ORB have any details on the shooting down of an LG 1 Ju 88 by 805 Sqn on 28 February 1942?
Jerome, thanks for the tip! |
