Re: Canadian built Hurricanes with Merlin engines
Hello,
My refs were mainly the article in the summer issue 1967 CAHS JOURNAL BY Ingwald Wikene. As to the a/c mark to quote from the article - "In the RCAF at home the Canadian -Built Hurricanes were given different Mark numbers than the a/c supplied to the RAF as listed above.( in articles earlier parragraph). Mk I's and some Mk X's were referred to as Mk. XIIA's; the XI's XII's and XIIA's (RAF) were Mk.XII's and sometimes the RCAF XII's and XIIA's were called II's". The Chinese Hurricane - at least one was photographed on its nose in Canada ( an old Fly Past magazine) so there may well have been a few more in use in Canada and perhaps the pilots used some Hurricanes that were left behind in China after WW2 if any. Re: Canadian built Hurricanes with Merlin engines
Of interest see my post number 7 in the link from a few months back showing photos of Canadian Hurricanes, which may be of some use.

Re: Canadian built Hurricanes with Merlin engines
Yep, I remember seeing those Larry and appreciate the reminder. My inquiry relates to this separate post and I'll file your info for future reference.
