Thanks Ed - some nice photos from Crete are appearing.
Although not particularly rare, the Blenheim is K7177/VT-N of 30 Sqn, which was abandoned (as captioned) at Maleme after being damaged on 27 Apr 41.

Looks like this was un-coded - or if it was coded only a single Sqn letter
Anyone ID the middle aircraft ?

Thanks Paul

Whitley of 77 Squadron, 'KN-Q'. possibly K8947 on night 15-16 October 1939

Hi all,

nice photo of Hawker Hurricane from France 1940:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/314038031506...cAAOSwJ-5iqunb

Based on my investigation, this is probably a Hawker Hurricane Mk. I L1679 from 1.SQ - famous pilot F / O P.H.M. Richey, who landed the machine on May 11, 1940 at Tournes-Belval airport due to lack of fuel and the machine was to be destroyed on May 14, 1940 during the German bombing of this airport.

More photos on same plane:

I have also seen Berry-au-Bac quoted as the location for this aircraft's demise.
Is Tournes-Belval confirmed please?

Andy

Yes it is MEZIEREs/TOURNES- BELVAL ; it was A/F for I./JG1 between 16-22 may 1940.

If you check page 80 of Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945 teil 3 you have same hangar available in the link given by Faenor (fith photo)
