Post 2276 # 9 appears to show Spitfire ML171/RY-C of 312 Sqn.
The date on the caption must be wrong as it joined 312 Sqn on 8 Jul 44, and moved on to 313 Sqn on 5 Oct 44.

It is indeed ML171 Andy
However the RY code was used by 313 Sq so date is probably correct.

Post 2291 #3 is Spitfire P9317/ZD-A of 222 Sqn, forced down at Le Touquet on 1 Jun 40.
It was later flown by the Luftwaffe.

Easy to be focused on the 312th
