I don't think there is any doubt from the photo that the code was KH-U.
The ORB is again in error. It lists Sgt Hunt as flying twice on 2 June: AA979 up 0625 AR439 up 1000 AR439 was not delivered to the sqn until the following day, being lost on 19 August 1942. I can only assume that it was the next wearer of code KH-U (a common problem encountered with ORBs). |

Not finger trouble this time :) But The code to me looks like either - KH ⊙ U OR KH⊙D Serial number AB799, just looked like AD to me BUT it couldn't be as AD799 was a Hampden :) Alex |

Stig, Alex, AndyMa - I have more examples, when we have typo - U and J is close to the keyboard and maybe this is the reason.

GB-X is P2190 of 105 Sqn
F is L5436 of 142 Sqn - the QT part of the code was only worn on one side. |
