Re: Ghostbombers updates
Hello!
Once again marvellous piece of research, Nick! I wonder if any photo of the He 219 B4+AA has surfaced yet? The +AA at Denmark post-war is said have no relation to NJ-Staffel Norwegen (but what it is then?). Do you know anything more of this issue, Junker? Regards, Kari |
Re: Ghostbombers updates
Interesting, the Ju 88 C-6 360176 was C9+AE (V/NJG 5) thougt was or had been the personal aircraft of ace´Prinz zo Sayn. Wittgestein in 1942/1943. FB Leichsenring records this with this code in April 1943. No fate yet recorded.

I'm beginning to suspect that +AA in Kastrup could indeed be the Njst. Norwegen Maschine. Junker |

Re: Ghostbombers updates
The book "Stirlings in Action with the Airborne Forces", by Dennis Williams, Pen & Sword, has on page 277 a photo of a machine gun breech, identified as being from S Sugar of 620 Sqn, lost over Norway on 28/29 December 1944. On it is an inscription. "Abschuss am 28.12.44. Hauptmann Vogt."
