If this was the plan, sending III./KG 3 to France was not logical, while keeping it in Germany was.

On the other hand, I am not sur that Germans were aware, so early of the campaign, that most V-1 were shot down before reaching London. Actually the reinforcement of AA defences in England has not yet reached its peak either, IIRC.




Of course, the Germans were aware and anticipated V-1 losses. The code word Diver! had been distributed among British coastal observers.
