Interesting enough, found 3 further photos of the same crash! Not good photos, but still produce a little information: on one the USAAF emblem is seen on the the side of the plane. There is no number on the other tail as well. And on one of the photos there is text on the back side:

August 1944, downed near Biala Slatina /town in Central-Northern Bulgaria/. - of course, that hand written entry may be wrong.

While I find no plane crashed in its location, there are several crashed on different dates at various villages more or less close to it.

I have been hesitant in posting this but i think this is the same aircraft, my idea is based on the angle of the tail assembly, and the fact that this was down in the same place.

Hello Kaiyan,

I do not think it is the same a/c. This one has a noticeable fuselage fracture, while the original picture shows no sign of a fuselage fracture (as far as I can see), also the original shows the tail slightly raised from the ground while this one seems to be in a more level position.

As to the original a/c, I now think that it must have been 42-64347, MACR 5057,a B24J.
In an earlier list the main were B24H's and one was a B24G. But "347" is the only one where Bulgaria is mentioned in the report.
I do however expect that others may prove me wrong.

Dénes,
http://www.454thbombgroup.it/738th.htm says lost on June 8, 1944. No MACR, crash location not stated. Pilot Dom F Moser.

Enjoy!

Frank.
