But we are speaking of the very few in % cases where the gliders are used as quite "assault" gliders nd gen. no Me321 are used in these cases, the worst arrived during the fights for Budapest where for sure no returns where possible, particulary when the glider "land" at the fifth floor of an hotel...
Reading the mission reports , for ops in East , when the transporter, the ones with self-power, arrived to land they returned usually with wounded guys, but also people that are named as glider-pilots
