Good evening Edward - thank you for your kind words. I would be hugely in favour of another print run of the hardback but I'm totally in the hands of the publisher, and regrettably bottom lines play a leading role. I'm relieved that I managed to get the 'first edition' into hardback. A plus point for those who missed out on the hardback is that I was able to do some minor corrections and additions for the softback. Best wishes - and keep well one and all.

Is the soft bound edition glued or sewn bound?

An excellent book with tremendous research underpinning it and an exceptional number of maps. The binding is glued, the paper is coated (making for quite a heavy book).
