Nokose,
I have a copy of the book you reference, obtained for me by Viktor Kulikov in Moscow. It is not a book about the aces. Rather it is short histories of all the fighter regiments (not sure if the naval units are present) going back to the late '30s, and extending to the '50s and the Korean War. A chronology, which seems to be about changes of assignment, and aircraft types. A list of commanders, with their dates. Various tables, whose headings I have not attempted to translate (my Russian is very poor, limited to transliterating Cyrillic, and a few obvious words). Occasional photos of commanders. I do not see a list of aces with each unit. ISBN 978-5-9955-0707-9. Published by ЯУЗА, Moscow, 2014.

Enjoy!

Frank.

Frank, Thanks for the update as the information that I found only hinted the details as a revision. Still maybe the unit information is better then what is shown in www.allaces.ru.

Nokose,

Viktor Kulikov has informed me of another new book by Mikhail Bykov which I have ordered from him. It is titled Vse Asi Stalina 1936-1953. All Aces of Stalin. This is probably the book you were referencing earlier. The cover is similar in style to that of the Soviet fighter squadrons book I referenced above. The squadrons book is about the same size as Mikhail's second Soviet aces book, but twice as thick. I do not know what the page count of the new aces book is. Nor the ISBN.

I went to www.ukazka.ru and searched for the book but it apparently won't/can't search on Latin characters, only Cyrillic.

Enjoy!

Frank.

Hello!

The new book "Vsje istrebitelnye aviapolki stalina" does include the Soviet Naval (VMF) Air Force fighter units. From page 806 to page 844 (GPW period).

Cheers,
Kari

PS Bookshop Ruslania in Helsinki ( http://ruslania.com/ ) can deliver the Bykov books. Likely to all of Europe, too. Check their site. I've bought the fighter regiments and newer edition of aces book from there.
