Bf109s in photos no 1 and 2 seem to be one and the same a/c from 2./JG1 (later to become 8./JG27). The emblem in photo no 1 is the short-lived Staffel badge of 2./JG1, which can be seen in a number of photos from late 1939. It is interesting to note that the numerals were moved from their usual position in front of the fuselage Balkenkreuz to the engine cowling between the dates given on the versos, i.e. between early November and early December 1939 - hence the caption on the December image, that "15" had changed its look. Re: eBay: Emblems
No.91; 1. "Red 3" of 2./JG 1 (autonomous Gruppe, later renamed III./JG 27); 2. Might have been 3.(H?)/32 emblem.

Re: eBay: Emblems
2. The Fw58. I have seen this before. It may be a cartoon cat (Mickey Mouse?) flying an airplane. But that is not connected to any unit I'm aware of.

based on this Attachment 15919 soure Expired Ebay
but I have the fw58 as Flugber.Lw.Kdo. Ost |
Re: eBay: Emblems
No.98: Yes, that photo provided the clue.
Otherwise, I have a photo of a Hs 126 aircraft coded V7+3K sporting this emblem. V7+ = Aufkl.Gr.32; V7+3K was the "K" aircraft of the 3. Staffel. |
Re: eBay: Emblems
I believe this is a good identification but it does not appear in the book Luftwaffe Emblems by Barry Ketley (Flight Recorder Publications).

I can confirm the pictures of the Hs126 V7+.K with the emblem but also one on a V7+.O all on my HD |
Re: eBay: Emblems
To confirm the last post I've just found images of Hs 126 V7+3K with the emblem discussed above so perhaps 2.(H)/32. Anybody with any other images?

V7 - AufklGr. 32 + Staffel number (1....7 or 8) followed by the individual aircraft identification letter. This is different from the regular LW designation standard, where the individual aircraft identification letter preceded the Staffel designation. Thus, to me, V7+3K reads AufklGr. 32, 3rd Staffel, aircraft K. There is a photo of V7+1N, copy attached (source eBay via old LEMB) and some other aircraft of the 1st Staffel of AufklGr 32, which would confirm this designation pattern. Regards, Sinisa |

Fi 156: not sure if this is a Luftwaffe WW2 emblem or a postwar one.
