Hi Mark

Re Blenheims: both RAF and Greek, some good gen on both!

Re: Blacks in RAF Blue: sub-title is non-white aircrew; therefore I intend to cover not only black West Indians and West Africans, but also Indians in the RAF, Maori in RNZAF, Aboriginals in RAAF etc.

Hope they'll whet your appetite!

Cheers
Brian

Is it 100% sure that "First of the few" will be published in april?
Who will publish Marylands over Malta?

Hallo Brian,

I look forward to acquiring those books you listed. Thanks for the updates.

However is there any news on Vol. 2 of 'FLYING SAILORS AT WAR' ?

Regards,

Martin.

Re: New books by Brian Cull

Thanks guys for the interest.

Dominik: I understand Wise Owl of Malta will do the Marylands book. I will post latest info asap. The publisher of First of the Few states 16 April!

Martin: Regret delay on Volume 2 of Flying Sailors - it's more or less awaiting the publisher's decision!

Cheers

Hi guys

Latest update re FIRST OF THE FEW - publication date now 23 May.

I would point out that the cover illustration shown on Amazon is a mock-up, though the actual cover is similar, but better!

Although not mentioned in the blurb, the book includes FAA action against the French Fleet at Mers-el-Kebir and Dakar (July 1940), and details of the Italo-French conflict of June 1940.

I must knuckle down and get it finished!

Cheers
Brian

Hi guys

I'm off to Malta tomorrow, so should know how MARYLANDS OVER MALTA is progressing - or not.

Will let you know more in 10 days time or so.

I will have a good time, thanks, what with all that warm weather (Zero C today here!) Our twin granddaughters will be with us (just 13) so will make sure I don't come to any harm!

FIRST OFTHE FEW draft has just been sent to the publisher - due out late May.

Brian,

I don't know how you do all this. Have you cloned yourself several times over? But I for one am extremely happy that you can continue to publish these great books.

Many thanks,
Tom

Hi Brian

I don't know how trustworthy are releasing dates on the Bookdepository site but I've just found that according to their site your book is going to be released on 15th October. But I hope your info is true. I'm looking forward to it.

Hi Brian,

I just ordered three of your books from Amazon UK. Who is gingerkitty? :D

Brian 30th September 2013 18:45

Hi Six Nifty

I've just mailed the books and have sent you an e-mail! Sorry, although your real name rang a bell, it didn't register!! Sorry!

I have to admit that 'gingerkitty' is me, but my close friends refer to me these days as 'WHOB' - which stands for 'White-Haired Old B.....d'

With appropriate red face
Cheers, Brian

Hi guys

I wish my FIRST OF THE FEW would attract just a little of the free publicity that Robert Dorr's 'Fighting Hitler's Jets' - whether positive or negative - has achieved!!

Out of envy!!

Mr. Cull,
I just received your book, "First of The Few" this morning. Although I have only read the first two chapters, it's obvious that it maintains the high standards that we all know you will deliver. Thank you for all your work in producing another excellent book.

Excellent, I'm glad I made your day! It made mine when I received the book. I have finished it and enjoyed it greatly. I liked the chapters on the Italian intervention and the clashes over Swiss territory, as I knew very little about these events. Also, all the information on the Fleet Air Arm activities was appreciated. Thanks again.

LOL! Instead of a check, a second volume of "With The Yanks In Korea" would be greatly appreciated. Some publisher somewhere needs to support that work being completed.

Re: New books by Brian Cull

Hi Bruce and other interested parties

The intention is that Dennis and I will extract and revamp relevant information from Volume I and include it in Volume II, which will concentrate on British and Commonwealth activities at the expense of the USAF!

There will be a new publisher, so costs will be kept down, we hope, to the £20 mark.

Will keep one and all informed of progress.

Cheers

Happy new year Brian !

Today I received The first of the few, the book seems very good (as always).

A the beginning of chapter one you write that the RAF lost 177 aircraft during the nine days of operation Dynamo.

Do you have the repartition of these losses by type of aircraft ?

Thank you very much

Alain (from France)
