Those "8's"sure look like "9's" to me I even enlarged the picture to make sure ,also wondered about what looked like Sqdn code "RT"?. However I bow to your expertise.
So L8857, RT⊙T it is

Is this confirmed as RT-T?
All photos I have seen only show RT on both sides (on the left side the squadron code is to the rear)
