# 3350 no 1
FW-002 is supposedly a Lachassagne LA6 prototype . Reference shows it to be a low wing aircraft , yet the photo appears to be a parasol, with a differing landing gear as well...thoughts ? |

Photos 8 & 10. B-24D-25 41-24294 "36/V" "Brewery Wagon", 376BG shot down by Flak near target ( Ploesti Aug. 1 1943). She is Olive Drab but others in the Group were Desert Pink/Sand. Group lost 3, one down in the sea en-route, one in Turkey and "36".
Artwork (both sides) was 3 happy men in suits waving beer mugs. Took off from Berka 2 Benghazi. Nick |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Ed a short footnote. The Turkey internee was 41-24297 (20/E) "Chief Wahoo" with Indian head emblem. The B-24 in the sea near Corfu was 42-40563 (28/D) "Wongo Wongo !" with sqn. insignia and eagle on the nose. In addition 42-40658 (38) "Ole' Sarge" was diverted to Cyprus. All 3 were in Sand / Neutral Gray.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Hi all,
date is strange - is there any crash before WWII? https://www.ebay.de/itm/326504842242...Bk9SR7T7pZW7ZQ Faenor |
Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Hi Faenor. This is the same picture but the 1st Regt. wasn't formed until Jan. 1940 I believe; maybe the previous Command ? 271 Abteilung formed 26 August 1939 so I'm not sure.
