The Junkers Ju88G-1 beside 160128 (G9+HT) is W.Nr. 714401 (based on other photographs of the site), formerly 3C+FN with 5./NJG4. II./NJG4 transferred the aircraft to the Air Ministry Works Inspectorate on 26 February 1945, so it went off unit strength. Cheers Rod |

Marc,
The Ju88G-1 in post #1412 is "9W+ge.AL", WNr.714691 of 3.I.NJG 101 found at Pilsen. Cheers, David |

I concur, thanks for your input. Fw 190 D-9 W.Nr. 600646 was found at Babenhausen according to A.I.2 (g)/131/I Air Min. In the same location we have also three Bf 109 G-14's (W.Nr. 413723, 781292 and a "400232" which is clearly an error). Location for this shot is thus probably Babenhausen. Cheers Marc |

https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-photo-...jId:rk:59:pf:0 Dear RudiS, What a good find ! Another machine from a tactical recce unit, "Weisse 1", "N5+AH", NAGr. Bromberg, deployed by war's end at Bayreuth Bindlach. We have here either a Bf 109 G-6/R2 or a G-8, camouflage being inconclusive to decide which variant. Since you provided us with another shot of "Weisse 1" in post Nr. 1159, and thanks to Franck Benoiton and David Weiss over on Bf 109 from Anton to Toni Group, FB, location is now known to be Schongau, 65 km south-west of Munich; the church to be seen on the background is the Sankt Michael Basilica in Altenstadt-Schongau. Thanks ! Marc |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hi Blueberry,
Thank you for posting this fine photo (Post #1436). However, the merest corner of a IV.-Gruppe wave is visible in the photo, probably making this a 15./IV./JG 4 aircraft. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
What you see is the forward edge of the horizontal tailplane. Aircraft of IV./JG 4 had the wave painted over the black-white-black fuselage bands.
