Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Wish I had something useful to answer Guys
No great fan of flicks from the 1930s meaning my knowledge of Swedish actors stops with Greta Garbo. I put out a request on the Sw Av Hist Society's site, but nobody has so far said anything. Checking the 'net SF had offices in many European cities (and even New York) but I hesitate when you Nick call them Studios. Were they? Cheers Stig |
Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Stig. It would seem that the Swedish film crews collaborated with the established German studios rather than having their own so you are quite right.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Hi Faenor. As per the Air Britain "N" serials N7578 (607 Sqn.) and N7577 (85 Sqn.) were both abandoned in France; for those interested in this campaign this is the Air Historical Branch narrative in 2 parts for Sept. 39--June 40.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Thanks Faenor. I think the Hurricane "W" is 73 Sqn., she had a distinctive white tip to the fin, 35" cocardes and 30" letter (see photo here dated April); the ORB records "W" several times then, regular pilot was P/O R. A. Marchand "B" Flight (killed later in Battle of Britain). Unfortunately could't find the serial. In the photo it's in the small-style but just visible.
