Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Thanks Ed.
Photo 8 is interesting. It shows Boston Z2293 coded L, a photo taken c 29 July 42 according to the reverse. This aircraft was Cat 2 FB with 12 Sqn SAAF on 26 June 1942. The AM78 next records an allocation to NAAF dated 1 November 43, plus "arrived 30 November 43". The next entry is a strike on 8 March 44. I accept that this aircraft will have been re-captured following the departure of German forces, but was it really repaired and returned to service? |
Re: eBay: Allied intrest
Regarding Boston Z2293 coded L.
That would then not have been with 12 Squadron SAAF as their last raid with Bostons were 22 December, 1943. |
