A form of reanimation, yes. Still quite some data is missing, from what i can see... I hope it will not end up like "old LEMB", where 80% of the data was lost.

agreed hris, the loss of info after the hack was tremendous....and I know you yourself reposted alot of info from the old board and are to be commended for that...
Perhaps in a day or two we will be able to log on and.... I hope find things as they were?

Latest Update - 1st March

So that you are all aware of what caused the current failure, I have reproduced below an extract of an email from our webhost:

"I have heard back from the experts today. It seems that the arm on the hard disc has well and truly buggered the hard disc got so hot that it has welded itself to the disc and this is what caused the failure.

1) being that the cooling fan failed.
2) being that the server should of shut down.
3) the data center should have picked up on it sooner.
4) The hard disc got so hot that the arm stuck to the disc.

This means that its buggered and the only resort now is to go through backups that we do."

There are two further issues:

1 - The database back-up made by the webhost is incomplete and they are still searching for a complete example.

2 - The database back-up I made in October is damaged. This is the version the board is currently running and the reason why there is a gap in posts.

Until there definitive news from the webhost, the forum will remain offline.
