Can you explain the chevron with a circle marking on the tail? It is new to me.

That's all I can think of it - the aircraft of the TO. |

Thanks John, Yes, but that wasn't my question. I think It should be better to ask if this KG53 He 111 ( I don't think it is a JU 88) for which the WNr. is perfectly readable was, or wasn't, a Stab machine; if yes, of course it was TO machine. ;) Regards, Franck. |

The point I was making, Franck, was that what is known as the TO's marking on 109s might also be equally applicable to that He 111. Do you not see the connection? |

Hello everyone,
First, thank you yet again Ed for your continuing hard work and dedication. It is truly appreciated. Second can anyone make out any of the St.Kz. in Post #1708, Spremberg’s Flugbuch, and attached here? Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBay: German intrest
Hello again, Is anyone aware of Werknummern for either Fw 190 radials or Fw 190 D-9’s with Stammkennzeichen in the TV+W_ or TN+L_ series as mentioned above?

Re: eBay: German intrest
Hi Steve - Thanks - Posts 1708 - 1711 - 1712 - 1716
The Stkz references mentioned are in fact PN+LE and TV+WS; WW; WX; WY; WZ series the WN is WW. These are all Fw190A-6 built by AGO at Aslau - I have W/Nrs PN+LA - LZ (550194 to 550219) I do not have copies of his Flugbuch other than odd sheets that have been released before. But I do have TV+WB and WC from Sept.1944 at Aslau. So it would appear that the full Stkz range must run from TV+WA to WZ. So does anybody have any ideas? |
Re: eBay: German intrest
Hi Tom,
I truly appreciate your response to my question. However, it evokes several questions. First, are these Fw 190 A-6’s being produced in mid to late-November 1944? Also, the reasons for the flights are all, “Einflug,” which suggests first flights of new aircraft. Finally, if they were rebuilds, it seems strange that there are so many near-consecutive St.Kz. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Yes, I DO SEE the connection John but "IS THAT SYMBOL ON HE 111 RUDDER A REALLY STAB SYMBOL" or another thing with another meaning since I never seen stab symbol on bombers' rudders. Is it so difficult to understand ? :) |
