Re: Photos 3-9

There is more then a link between GdJ, JG 110 and JV 44. Red 4, also a D-11 from JV 44, had the markings >58. That means it did come from Bad Wörrishofen and was assigned to JV 44 as a Platzschutz aircraft. The Pilot you mentioned Eric came from JG 110, same did Waldemar Wübke, one of the Pilots of JV 44 Platzschutz. Galland was in Bad Wörrishofen and Iam sure he was using his "old" connections to get the Platzschutz aircrafts. Personally I think this plane is 220011, taken at an earlier date then the photo we know. I now got with Eric and David in touch during my research, but do have also very good connection to the Luftwaffenmuseum in Berlin. As far as I know and as far they do know, there were only 2 planes coded with 57 ( D-11´s ). The V 57 and the >57. V 57 did have Stammkennzeichen, so the only result must be that this is >57, no doubt its a D-11. I might have a different theorie and Iam interessted what you all will say about this: We do know D- 11 prototypes from V series and the planes from Bad Wörrishofen. Same Numbers, exept 2 planes from Bad Wörrishofen. What if these planes are linked as well, like twins? That means, V Prototypes are testing, developing, the <XX planes take this in combat or combat environment as improvement. Maybe the picture was taken then, maybe during a technical change? Looking forward to hear from you guys |
