Well that's even more odd than the Heinkel - thanks Gerhard!

Probably photographed at Salzburg-Maxglan as 42nd Div. was posted in Austria on occupation duty by war's end. This plane seems to be a G-14/AS possibly from JGr. 27; possibly the same machine can be seen on a Jim Crow collection photo published in Hildebrandt 1989, p. 2. Cheers Marc |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hi folks! I can confirm Salzburg-Maxglan. In the background is the 1287m high mountain "Gaisberg". Photo was taken somewhere west of the airfield between Viehausen and Eichetstraße. The wood on the right behind the wrecks can be seen also on other photographs from that area. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ga...8!4d13.1166668

Thanks to Jakub Plewka, over on Late war Bf 109's Group, FB, we now have a match with one of the rare Mtt built Bf 109 G-10's: Bf 109 G-10 W.Nr. 130 ..., "Weisse 2", 13./JG 27, Salzburg-Maxglan, May 1945. Is that a cannon port or a damaged fuselage? Jim |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
This is the very late camouflage pattern for the V-1 of which I have only seen one other photo. The solid color sections in the front I have not seen before. Also, I am having difficulty determining what is on the top of the fuselage at the front of the pulse-jet inlet.

I don't know Nick. It appears the camouflage paint covers it, whatever it is.
