These Emils weren't most probably not pictured by a GI. Maybe only the photo was "captured" ... Thanks Rudi. Regards, Franck. |

It is irritating to see the the same seller offer this same photo, at least, a second time, but by now in reverse. Cheers Stig |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello RudiS,
Post #2345: I tentatively identify the Ju 87 as Weserflug-Lemwerder-built Ju 87 D-5 (N) (WNr. 130502. It was marked 1K+MH and has a yellow 3 inside of a white diamond at mid-rudder. It was found abandoned at Fl.Horst Langensalza (coordinates 51.129444 10.621667). Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
also post #2345, looks like a Fw190D-11 bottom right.

This sale is actually the album of Stuart Smith from 35th Evac Hospital. His photos are free for access on Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/148242...57680362633841 The Senon set comprises four photos, three showing "Gelbe 4", the fourth another machine of III./JG 3: they can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/148242...57680362633841 One positive point for this sale: the album is not ripped apart. Cheers Marc |

Great find Marc. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Unfortunately, I see too many individual photos followed by the sale of albums with missing photos. But so it goes.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone else think that the destroyed Bf 109 with the tail in the background has the larger oil tank? Steve Sheflin |
