Good evening Vince & Leo,

somehow pictures of Alfred Jakobi are scarce. This is one of them:

Have a good Tuesday,

Interesting website, thanks for the link. I've had a particular interest in JG5, as Walter Schuck was a 'graduate' of my uncle's Ergaenzungsgruppe. I also got to know personally Wolfgang Rost and Hans Hermann Schmidt, and a memorable event was going flying with Rost in a Cessna.

Good morning Vince,

your personal acquaintances are impressing.

Today, I go to Erich von Däniken who is an author several books about possible extraterrestrial influences on early human culture.

I wish you a good weekend,

Michael

LOL Michael, I hope you aren't an adherent of those crazy Chariots of the Gods books of the distant past.

That would be seriously off-topic for this thread.

Hello Vince,

I enjoy scrutinizing all sides of a story before making up my mind.

Would you say that the Bf109T was the only subtype that was not defined by its powerplant type ?

Have a good Sunday evening,

Michael

Yes, I would agree with that. BTW my uncle's Staffel-Wappen was a seahorse, as his unit was originally designated as a Traeger-Staffel for the Graf Zeppelin.

Do you mean 5./Trägergruppe 186 or Jagdstaffel Helgoland?
Best greetings from Switzerland,
Michael
