Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Michiel,
Be aware that seller marwaj2 is helping himself from all the dedicated webpages with photos, catching the captions in the process, and making money out of the work of dedicated persons who do all the job for free... Cheers Marc |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
I have a large file of pictures i collected over the years. I only post what i personally have not seen . But your warning about this seller is noted and appriciated.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Snautzer,
Could this be Do 335 (V11), WNr. 230011? Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Is there a meaning for the two lines on the tail in photo 2?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Angle of attack help line ?
|
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
I don't think so. I seem to recall seeing a comment in a back issue of Luftwaffe im Focus stating the purpose was unknown.
Ed |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
The diagonal line at the rudder was just a decoration of 10.(Pz)/SG 2 aircraft. The photo shows T6+TU, which was flown by an unknown crew from Niemes to Kitzingen on 8.05.45.

Thanks, Gerhard, for the detail on the Stuka wreck. I managed to buy both those photos, so it's a nice addition to their identity.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Good afternoon everybody
Does anybody know the Luftwaffe FW200 on the Tempelhof pictures? The code is, as far as I can see, .....+NT. Did it belong to a transport unit? Regards Harry |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello Harry,
I show the Fl.Horst Berlin-Templehof Fw 200 +NT as being fully coded F8+NT (N=o/l white). I am uncertain where I found this information and am open to correction. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hi Steve
Thanks a lot for your answer. Very interesting, a (former?) KG40 Condor in Berlin after the end of war. Maybe a reinforcement or material transport aircraft? Best regards Harry |

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello Michiel,
Thanks for your latest find; either a G-6 or a G-14. Cheers Marc |
Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Further to this machine, Film paper maker marking on back of image says "Photo-Wager 1310 Nürtingen". Nürtingen is 20 km south-east of Stuttgart-Echterdingen, the nearest Lufwaffe airfield. We could hence have a 2./NJG 11 Bf 109 G-14, as I./NJG 11 was stationed at Echterdingen until April 1945.
