Hi. Mossies are 60 sqdn SAAF.
Flown and photographed to send to the American pilots after a few were shot down by them, to help with identification. |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
A nice set Ed!
# 1 is Battle QT-H of 142 Sqn. I seem to have two candidate serials for this: K9259, L5440. Can anyone please tell me which one is correct, and identify the code of the other? # 2 is Battle QT-D of 142 Sqn, which has me stumped. # 3 is Spitfire P9317 ZD-A of 222 Sqn, which force-landed near Le Touquet on 1 Jun 40. It was later flown by the Luftwaffe. Andy |

Re: eBay: Allied intrest
2385 # 1 is interesting. It shows Spitfire FY-G of 611 Sqn.
Despite the seller's caption, the band around the rear fuselage would seem to date the photo from 1941 or later. At first glance, there are a lot of candidates for this machine. |

#3 looks like R2780 of 21 Sqn, which was abandoned at Almyros in March 1941.
