Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Bf 109 G-6 "Schwarze 12", JG 27, said to be at Saint-Dizier, France, 15 December 1944.
On the right is Bf 109 G-6 "Gelbe 10" (?), JG 1, 3 or 53 (unit unclear as tailband color could be black or red). http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-US-GI-P...oAAOSwblFaig4J http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-US-GI-P...QAAOSw~89aig3K http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-US-GI-P...8AAOSwkL5aig2T Location given is kind of a mystery as those wrecks are not among the ones listed by Jean-Bernard Frappé in his 1998 book "La Luftwaffe face au débarquement allié". An intriguing background for this wreck Bf 109 G-14/AS. Anyone able to decipher what was written on the back of one of the two airframe shots ? Cheers Marc |

I think it's "It's not me in these planes. I'm not that ugly"

Thanks for sorting this out, RudiS and Revi ! As for the third photo, location seems to be Neuschwanstein.
