Cheers, Franck.

Well spotted.

The best match for the Ju 88 on that list seems to be 1T+FT (no Werk Nummer).

The He 111s listed are: W.Nr. 110137, 1H+HP; W.Nr. 7112, 1H+FH; W.Nr. 7237, 1H+LK; and W.Nr. 8125, 1H+DP.

(7237 was first reported as 7257 but corrected later).

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

So in the fall of 1943 a Ju 88 coded "1T+FT" should have belonged to 9./KG 26. This unit was equipped with Ju 88s and was based in Southern France. To me this fits the information we have on this photo...

The other Ju 88s in the list are coded 1T+ as well (but don't ask me to get my A3 folio case down from on top of the cupboard again, so I can list them here!)

I am documenting the Ju 88G WNr. 620 507 that you have noted above. I have Balss' book and found the loss there. I also have the Lw. daily materiel loss reports (LwGQM 6. Abt.), but I can't seem to find the entry there. Could you give the number of the LwGQM 6. Abt. report or the date of the report, with the entry number for the 620 507? This would be very very much appreciated.

Thank you for your contribution to this case

RA

Report 220/45 dated 11 March 1945, Lfd Nr. 39 under Luftflotte Reich.

Additionally, evidence from Flugbücher shows this aircraft was 4R+EP flown by Ofw. Robert Lüddeke on the night of 13-14 February 1945, with his crew of Fw. Ulrich Hess and Kurt Wacker. Ofw. Lüddeke took off from Fl. Pl. Mainz-Finthen at 20.55 hrs on 13 February, and crash-landed at the same airfield at 00.32 hrs on 14 February. The crash-landing resulted in the 20% airframe damage recorded in the Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt return.

Unless the first owner of this album has made a trip in South Africa I'd say this is a SAAF album; SA at least.
... Because of the Basuto girls, of course.

Anything wrong with my post #3627 yesterday? I can understand that the same items are sometimes posted again if the original post was some time ago. I don't either have the time to check if things have been posted 3 months or longer ago.
