Luftwaffe Junkers F 13s

I would be interested in any addition or correction to the following list of Luftwaffe Junkers F 13s (WW II period). In addition information on the number of F 13s in Luftwaffe service at a certain date (if such data exists) would be useful.

Codes:
BB+HG
BB+HU
CB+EP
DB+
GD+NS
KH+ED (734) FlHKdtr Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, Schule/FAR 82
NF+NY
PB+IF
TA+ (621)
TV+OO (531) FFS A/B 1 Görlitz
VP+AW (2051)

C/ns:
(545) FlHKdtr Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel
(764) FlHKdtr Hannover-Vahrenwald
(763) Schule/FAR 22 Neustadt-Cleve
(2026) FFS A/B 114
(2039)
(2031)
(2072)

Known operators during WW II:
FFS A/B 1, later FFS (A) 1 Görlitz, Bautzen
FFS A/B 11 at Schönwalde
FFS A/B 22 at Neustadt-Cleve
FFS A/B 82 at Cottbus
FFS A/B 114 at Zwölfaxing (Austria), later FFS (A) 114 Erfurth
Fliegerstaffel zbV

Hi Lennart

BB + HG, BB + HU, CB + EP, GD + NS, NF + NY, PB + IF are wrong, most of them are Ju W 33.

In my list, I have found the following F 13's:
CB + EN = DVL
CG + MX = Sch/FAR 61, 09.40
PG + AD = Sch/FAR 11, 10.40

Hej Lennart
The LEMB Sktz Database Project might be of help to you.

Best regards,
Goran

Thanks for the input. I suspected that some of the codes found in the LEMB Sktz Database would in fact be W 33s rather than F 13s. Only six F 13s remained in use by Luftwaffe schools by January 1937 and although a few were probably added later the total number still in service during WW II can not be much higher than that.

but I have also a little problem, I have police report about crash of "Ju R 37/2" on 9 oct 1939.
Please, do you know about this crash and the type of Ju R 37/2 ??

Re: Luftwaffe Junkers F 13s

Thanks Barkas. I had KH+ED and you have KU+ED. Is KU correct?

The "R 37/2" is in fact most interesting. My first thought was that it might be S 36 D-AMIX (WNr 3200), which was delivered to the Luftwaffe (Fliegerstaffel zbV) in 1936. The military designation for this type was K 37 and Junkers designed prototypes K 37/1, K 37/2, etc. On the other hand D-AMIX was K 37/1, and K 37/2 was delivered to Japan. Do you know the registration or Stammkennzeichen for this aircraft?

The Luftwaffe inventory from 1/5/40 lists 8 F 13s (RL3/1041).

Re: Luftwaffe Junkers F 13s

For the period from 1936 - 1940 the following 36 F.13 aircraft was repaired or overhauled on RLM contracts:
W.Nr. 532, 547, 569, 581, 583, 587 (D-OZYM), 616, 621, 636, 681, 682, 687, 695 (D-OLEF), 703 (D-OBON), 704, 720 (D-OGUZ), 721, 724 (D-ONUL), 731 (ex. Polish SP-AAW), 732 (ex. Polish SP-AAU), 748, 757, 761, 780, 796 (D-OBAX), 2001 (D-OHAS), 2002, 2022 (D-ODEN), 2024, 2031, 2056, 2062 (D-OHUV), 2072, 2074, 2077 (D-OKEF) and 2078 (D-OPIT).
The two Polish aircraft were used as exchange when Poland purchased Ju 52 aircraft.
In addition I have the registrations D-OMIZ, D-OKAX and D-OTAL for F.13 aircraft used by Übungsstelle Böblingen in 1935.

Re: Luftwaffe Junkers F 13s

Thanks again. The number on charge by May 1940 was valuable.

Seaplanes, 2074 was in New Guinea as SE-AEC/VH-UTS from 1935 to 1939 when it was abandonned there. The others were mostly, although not all, DVS-operated aircraft that passed to Luftwaffe schools.
