According to German Secret Flight Test Centers To 1945 two aircraft were destroyed on that date: a possible Do-24 of T.Kp from a low level aircraft attack and a Ju-52/3m (PB+UA) of E3 that was shot down between Rechlin and Travemunde by fighter bombers. There is no mention of a Strobl.

My understanding is that this was an Ar 234C and that the incident took place at Lechfeld. I don't know the Werk Nummer and I'm not sure if Christoph Regel would. I do know that Christoph Regel visited Herr Strobl as recently as 2009. I assume you've run across this in HW5/692.

Thank you for your swift replys

hucks216 Strobl was on a calibration flight and a Obltn MAIER was possably charged with gross negligence for not giving a danger warning.

Steve Coates yes you are correct info is from HW5 files which I have rediscovered. Can you add any more to the above ?

Regards

David

Sorry, can't really add any more but feel free to PM Christoph (Chr.Regel). He is an infrequent visitor to these Boards so it could be a while before he sees this posting. He may be able to add more. If you've got further Ultra Intercepts on E-Stelle Rechlin, I'm sure he'd be interested in those as he continues to piece together its history. He is very busy though so may not be able to get back to you quickly.

234c-4 could hv crashlanded at Lechfeld on 5.April , given are just the 3 last figures of the Wn = 111, so it could be the ;

C-4 250111

B-0 E4+10 140111, but a truly old plane at that date

Rémi

None of my books mentions any production of any 234C-4.
All I have is a production run of C-3, WNr 250 001 to 250 019 and according to Griehl up to 250 016 seems to be confirmed.

So what is your source(s) for the C-4 production, how many were built and did their WNr start with 250 101? Griehl states none were built...

Cheers
Stig

My mistake, C-3 for sure , Griehl gave sometimes figures nd facts not to find in usual sources...

Thanks Remi

I am still trying to make sense of your stated WNr 250111.
Is this a so far, to me, unknown Wnr block or do you actually mean WNr 250 011, or should we suspect a mistake by the individual who wrote down what it is you are quoting from?

Cheers
Stig
