Just announced on the Stone & Stone web site. And the price? If you have to look... don't say I didn't warn you.

The kindle one isn't too bad, even though my son equates my use of same as consorting with the antichrist, I know which way I'd go if I was hanging out to read this.

The Raf's French Foreign Legion: De Gaulle, The British And The Re-Emergence Of French Airpower 1940-45 (Bloomsbury Studies in Military History) [Paperback] UK

The RAF's French Foreign Legion: De Gaulle, the British and the Re-emergence of French Airpower 1940-45 [Paperback] Canada

Amazon UK and Canada list a paperback version coming out February 2014 at a more reasonable price. Paperback still not listed on US Amazon though.

Hey, it is only money!

I recall a favorite cartoon with all the children and relatives sitting around the lawyer's table. The lawyer reads the will, saying, "Being of sound mind, I spent it all!"

That's my goal!

I spend enough time in front of a computer screen so I don't plan to spend any time reading books like this on anything but paper.

My 2 cents,

I'd agree with that Ed in general but there is times when needs must & in truth, I haven't found it to be as artificial feeling as I thought I might.

Must agree on the Kindle v. Paper in this case. It'll be the Kindle for me.

"This is UK based gift card and voucher trading service, and their survey is based on 1400 UK adults. Yes, it’s a UK survey, not US, but the results are likely very similar. The survey found that nearly half of respondents had gotten a gadget for Christms [sic] that they haven’t used it yet. (Now, 22% of that half specifically said that they weren’t using a Kindle, but..."

This will be my last diversion. Promise.

Re: The RAF's French Foreign Legion

Let's see:
What's in it for me:
- Can read while flying to Berlin without breaking my shoulder on the way to Heathrow. Check.
- Searchable. Check.

But, and this is what matters:

What's in it for her:
- USD97 saved, to buy something nice for the Missus. Check.
- No complaints from the Missus, because there isn't another door-stopper in the mail. Check.

That's called a 'win-win' situation. :D

All the best

Andreas
