Ebay madness...

This bidding just ended on Ebay minutes ago...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=8423444337

If the price of £70 was already a bit absurd, the fact the Reserve wasn't met makes you wonder how much the author was expecting...

O and a second chance for all in less than half an hour! Carnage! :D

Re: Hs 129 book

Anyone interested in the develeopment and technical aspects of the aircraft (Henschel Hs 129), might wish to check out my latest book, to be published by Midland Publ., in August (much cheaper - but thinner - than Martin Pegg's Classic tome). It has new information and photos, not included in Pegg's 'Panzerjäger!' volume.

A bit of selfish self-promotion... :o

954 Euros for a photo of a Panzer? Is there any limit to this madness? Granted, it's one of a kind and 60 years old, and as an archaeologist I appreciate OLD things..........but gimme a break.

Gentlemen,

I hope any of you contemplating putting something up for auction on Ebay are also interested in making money. That is the whole point of an auction. As an art dealer told me once: "It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it." Now I am not advocating gouging buyers. But If I list something on an Ebay auction hoping to get $25.00 and someone bids $50.00, should I turn them down? Even if I, myself, think that price is well above average?

Just my 2 cents.
