Luftwaffe Graves UK

Hi Guys,

I am wondering if any forum members can help with my request of help.
Due to redundancy I lost my job as a delivery driver a couple of years ago. When I was working I was very active photographing Luftwaffe graves in England, nowadays, due to the cost of fuel etc my excursions are limited to say the least!

So I thought I would put the feelers out to see in any forumites might have some in their collections. Or maybe you live near to a burial site where pictures could be taken. If you are interested in helping or can help, please send me a pm with your e-mail address and I will get back to you.

In anticipation,

Melvin

Melvin,
Do you need any from Ireland even though we are not in the UK ? I can organise some from the German Cemetery at Glencree near Dublin.

Melvin,
I've got photos of all the Erprobungsgruppe 210 men re-interred in Cannock Chase if you would like them.
Also some photos of the graves of other Bf 110 men buried there.

Happy to provide you with copies of all should you so wish. Just let me know.

Hi Tony, I was also having trouble earlier but everything seems alright now, I have sent a couple out which have been recieved. Today it has been very stormy, halestones, thunder & lightning and heavy rain, dont know if this has anything to do with it!!

As far as I am aware there are ten Luftwaffe graves in England that have been officially confirmed by the Deutsche Dienststelle that are still awaiting named headstones, the VDK very short of funds, so if anyone is feeling benevolent, pick a grave.

Re: Luftwaffe Graves UK

Thanks for that Joe, wish I could help but I am still searching for a job, so my funds are very slim to say the least. Hopefully some of our forum members might have a few pounds spare that they could share for the graves of our former enemies.

Joe,

Thanks for this. I was not aware that Lt Beubler and Uffz Fischer of I./KG66 (the unit I'm investigating) had their graves at Hull Northern Cemetery, not to mention the fact that they don't even have a headstone...(Wonder why their relatives - if they have any, of course - couldn't help out here..) BTW, do you know where the other members of Beubler's crew (Beobachter Uffz Heinz Urban and Bordschütze Uffz Erwin Pausch) were buried?

Regards,

Marcel

Hi Melvin,

Still going strong. I'm sitting on a goldmine of info (with too little time to process it) and new data is still pouring in. In fact, thanks to this thread and Joe Potter, I got some new exciting material! :)
