Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Hello,
Who has more information about Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski (I./JG 76) who was shot down in the Emmerich area, 27-09-1944. He took off from Störmede at 12.40h that day and according to my information he was listed as missing. Me 109G-14 Wnr:461393 "black 14" He was in possesion of the "deutsches kreuz in gold" I need information about birthday/place and in what unit he served before JG 76! (ZG 26 ??) Regards Karl Lusink ARGA www.arga-nl.nl |
Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
He was probably Staka of 2./ZG 76 and claimed one victory over Allied Bomber as member of 2./ZG 76 but mentioned as Sziarnowski.
Better to put his name on search machine in this forum and will be know more :-) |
Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski

Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Here is what we have on this guy:
DZIARNOWSKI, Heinz. (DKG). 06.09.42 Oblt., 6./ZG 1 WIA belly landed vic Kerenskaya following combat. 22.02.43 Oblt., awarded the Ehrenpokal. 19.05.43 Oblt., awarded DKG, II./ZG 1. 01.03.44 promo to Hptm. 27.09.44 Hptm., I./JG 76 MIA – possibly Staka 2./JG 76. There appears to be some issue regarding spelling his name: Dzianowski, Karl-Heinz. - according to Vasco’s “Sting of the Luftwaffe” Dzarnowski, Heinz – according to Schiebert's Ehrenpokal book. We hope that this helps. LdZ DGS |
Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Hptm. Karl-Heinz Dziarnowski never flew with I./ZG 26. These claims were made with 2./ZG 76.

Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Doug,
My spelling came from the reverse of an original photo that was in the collection of Herbert Klinke, Bordfunker of 5./ZG 1. |
Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski

Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Thanks John....
Is the certain archive "contactable"? I would like to use this photo or at least cutout in my prepared ZG 76 book. |
Re: Hptm Heinz Dziarnowski
Peter,
Yes, the archive is contactable. But I believe it would be a case of you arranging to visit if they so allow. In the meantime, here's a scan of the photo from the book: http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/5...rnowskizv0.jpg |
