10/Jabo/JG2
Does anyone on here know when 10/Jabo/JG2 stopped operating over Britain and what air bases it flew from? Also the best source of information on this unit and it's pilots/activities please?

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
Chris Goss did a very nice book on these guys. Can't remember title though.

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
Suggest you get my 'Luftwaffe Fighter-bombers over Britain' as it is the history of 10/JG 2, 10/JG 26 and then IV/SKG 10 over UK. 10/JG 2 was first 13/JG 2 and formed 11 Nov 41 and became 13/SKG 10 16 Apr 43

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
Thanks Chris - yes I think I will - just seen it on Amazon. Does it cover Frank Liesendahl in there? I was most interested in how he was shot down and what happened to his aircraft. I had heard parts of it were salvaged...?

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
There is much about Liesendahl but not about the recovery of his ac. I believe a gun and prop boss were recovered off Brixham in the early 70s, ended up in the Torbay Aircraft Museum but where they are now I do not know

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
Peter - how were you on the wrong end??
|
Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
For wrong end=receiving end; Ipswich was a target for such raids

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
Peter: Hope you enjoy it. Out of interest, when and where did you experience an attack?

Re: 10/Jabo/JG2
