Re: Photos 2-15
I am wondering how many times was this photo sold?
http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/7/9...13550518_o.jpg Personally, I saw it on eBay at least a dozen times, if not more... |

I think this emblem is 8./ZG 26, the red chevrons have been almost 'washed' away or smeared leaving only the black cat. There are two blown up photos of this aircraft that illustrates this slightly better here on LEMB: http://www.luftwaffe-experten.org/fo...=0&#entry40109 Cheers Chris |

Are you sure of the date , John ??? Remi |
Re: Photos 2-15
Came from his FB which I would think might be accurate.
Do you have other information? |

Re: Photos 2-15
John / Remi, i too am surprised at the date of 1.5.40 for this incident regarding Wilhelm Philipp.
My records show no loss on 1.5.40 for 4/JG26, but i note a loss on 7.6.40 involving Philipp, when he was shot down by a Hurricane in the area of Dieppe, Philipp reportedly wounded in the engagement. Id welcome any further information on Philipp and any detail from his Flugbuch, that may list which a/c he might have been flying this day. Best regs, Steve. |
