Air War in Bessarabia - article series

On my homepage www.yogysoft.de , an article series covering focusses of the 1944 air war in Bessarabia is online. If anyone can provide the missing bases of VVS and ARR units for April 1944, I would be very happy to amend these details.

Enjoy reading, any feedback is wellcome!

Excellent, Jörg! This is exactly what we have too little of on the internet: historical studies and monographs of the air war in a particular theater or sector, or of a particular battle. Keep up the good work!

Well, first of all, thank you guys for your flowers... I am happy to share, especially as I am interested in that "stuff" anyway and am able to live this hobby - mainly due to my very liberal wife :inlove:. Yesterday, Christer Bergstöm sent me some additional information - wow :). Altogether, it makes me really feel happy to get this positive feedback!

With Mr. Bergströms information and stuff from other members here, I think there will also be an update soon - maybe before Christmas.

After a long break, another update.

It describes the aerial battles around german ground operations to improve the defensive positions near Iasi.

Check it out on yogysoft --> Bessarabia --> Katja&Sonja and enjoy reading...

Feedback is always wellcome.

PS: Big "Thanks a lot for supporting me" to Mr. Bergström, Andreas Brekken, the guys at panzer-archiv.de, our german university-library-system, my wife and all others who supported me.

PPS: If you want to play these battles, visit sturmovik.de's QL2-Server.

BTW, in old Aaviamaster 4/99 (a Russian magazine) was edited a long article "Bitva nad Jassami/ Battle over Yassy", written by D. Chazanow, p. 7-32, done from mostly Russian point of view.

Yes, thank you. I know that article - or at least the tables from it and the stuff I can decipher with my nearly non-existant Russian. It is already mentioned in the sources used:
"27) Bitva nad Yassami (АвиаМастер 4 1994)"
from http://www.yogysoft.de/Bessarabia.htm

PS: Puuh, I nearly thought I am going to become a new KT v. Guttenberg. People interested in german politics will know what I mean ...

Re: Air War in Bessarabia - article series

It is very good story, good written, very deeply.

Hi, relax, :-)
one thing to be a minister of defens of one big country in UE and have important science's title Ph.D. unfair written, too many cuts from other works (just now he does not have it).

Second thing to make for public use such compilation as one, very famous historian said about himself and his works to be "grand simplifacateur".
He is from GB.

So,when one man doese not make such simple: ctrl + a after ctrl + x and at last ctrl + v, writting his/her name below such "nice job" but do it on own way, by own maind using right all sources is OK.

Regards,
mirekw
