During the aerial combat, Republicans lost 1 I-16, with its pilot bailed out. For that loss, german pilots claimed 4 victories (3 were confirmed to claimers and 1 – not), including:

Uffz. Herbert Schob – 1 (confirmed to him by Legoin Condor HQ);
Hptm. Walter Grabmann - (not confirmed to him by Legoin Condor HQ).

Also, in that aerial combat participated Spanish Frankists fighters (number of theyr claims is not known).

6.12.1938 12 SB-2 (2. eskadrila) attacked La Cenia A/F. Flak shot down 1 SB-2, second SB-2 was shot down by Bf 109 which was able to take off. During bombing two Bf 109s were destroyed on ground.

But only in transcription of date - my description of Air Raid reffered to December 16 1938 :) Not December 6 1938 as I wrote...

Hello Friends,

Harrison, do You know the book by Nauroth/Held about the Bf 110, "Zerstörer an allen Fronten 1939-1945" ?
(Was´nt there a translation by Schiffer ???)
Although it deals with the 110 in general more than 1/3 of the pictures come from Herbert Schob and show him ore planes from ZGs he was flying in.
