Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
Speaking of Canadians, the ones that come to mind are A.R. "Al" Corston who flew with No.67 Squadron RAF and I do believe "Cap" Foster of No.403 Squadron RCAF. I am sure there are others.

Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
Hans: What use will that information be to you?
If I said "Yes" what help is that? Is your name pronounced "prick"? |

Your insulting comment is not appreciated. Brian |
Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
Brian,
We have to face a large range of people on this board, from genuine historians to nostalgics of the swastika. That's the way it is... Chris |
Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
Thank you for all the informations!! Why my interest:I collect policepatches from Aborigines Tribal Police in Queensland Australia and over that I came to that questions. Also it is an part of military aviation history, ok?!! The same as two men from the small State of Luxembourg serve with the RAF during WW II. (Pilot bzw. Airgunner)
CJE: Aero-Journal is top!!!! (Buy it at carrefour) Hans |
Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
I am new to this site and am finding it a bit frustrating to navigate around, so at the risk of mentioning what may have already been said, Len Waters did his conversion to Kittyhawks at No.2 Operational Training Unit, R.A.A.F Mildura in 1943/44

Hi Hans
Who were the two Luxemburgers who served with the RAF? Cheers Brian |
Re: Aborigines with RAAF/RAF
Brian,
Before starting a thread on its own, this website (in French) has some interesting on the Lux involvement: http://www.aero100-lu.org/historique...emondiale.html Gruber, Ney and Senté were in the FFAF. Ney was a Boston navigator, Senté a Spitfire pilot in 345 Squadron. The latter was killed in a training flight. I'm sure there's more about Bech, but the story says he joined the RCAF and became a B-17 pilot. A thing to be investigated! Regards, Leendert |
